About the Role
Main Developer clients are after a Technical Manager to join their UK Construction Team.
You will be someone with heavy experience working for a residential developer. The ideal candidate will have experience with both RC frames and traditional brick and block residential projects.
Responsibilities:
*Design Team Leadership: Effectively manages the design team to ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery of fully coordinated construction packages.
*Building Control and Warranty Management: Proactively manages building control and warranty conditions throughout the construction period, ensuring timely discharge and smooth project completion.
*Design Coordination and Review: Leads design team meetings and workshops, overseeing drawing production and construction delivery, while managing subcontractor design coordination, reviews, and approvals.
*Planning and Information Management: Provides timely information to the Planning department to facilitate the discharge of planning conditions, ensuring efficient project progression.
*Project Reporting and Communication: Produces comprehensive Technical Project Review Meeting packs for monthly presentations, ensuring effective communication across departments.
*Design Consistency and Quality: Enforces company design standards, specifications, and Construction Design Guides across projects, ensuring consistency and meeting building, marketing, and economic considerations.
*Quality Assurance and Inspections: Actively participates in QA inspections on site, ensuring adherence to approved details and departmental benchmarks.
*Budget Management and Reporting: Meticulously manages technical invoicing and cost reporting, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures.
*Quality Standards and Company Image: Establishes and enforces high-quality standards in design schemes, upholding the company’s reputation for excellence.
*Industry Awareness and Compliance: Stays current with legislation, standards, and construction product innovations, ensuring compliance with Technical Department Manual.
*Stakeholder Collaboration and Communication: Fosters strong working relationships with site staff, departments, building control, warranty providers, and stakeholders, promoting open communication and sharing best practices.
Qualifications And Skills:
*Relevant Degree or diploma in industry related field, or working towards a degree.
*Must have experience working for developers, at least 3-4 years
