Impression Recruitment is delighted to be assisting a fantastic client in their search for a Transport Planner to join their friendly team. As part of the role, you’ll be helping to plan the routes of the company’s vehicles to ensure efficient and effective delivery of goods, handling any issues that may arise with a calm and intuitive approach.
 
Key responsibilities as Transport Planner:
*Plan and manage vehicle delivery routes for a team of drivers with efficiency.
*Investigate and report accidents / incidents thoroughly, sharing information with relevant teams.
*Oversee vehicle maintenance and address defects to certify that all vehicles are roadworthy.
*Ensure deadlines are met in a fast-paced environment.
*Work collaboratively with colleagues to allow for smooth day-to-day operations.
*Handle communication with customers with a professional but personable approach to keep relationships healthy.
*Verify working hours of staff for weekly payroll.
Skills / qualities required: 
*Experience working in a similar position with knowledge of LGV transport.
*Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing changing priorities effectively.
*Proficiency using IT systems and software.
*Knowledge of driver hours and overseas regulations.
*Excellent communication skills with the ability to converse with customers and colleagues at all levels.
*A team player mentality.
In return, the successful Transport Planner will receive a salary of £26,000 - £28,000 per annum, working on a four on four off shift pattern, with a mixture of day and night shifts.
