PE Teacher
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate PE Teacher OR Sports coach specialist to join a reputable Secondary School in September. As a PE Teacher, you will be responsible for educating students on the in line with the national curriculum, teaching both theory and practical lessons. As a PE Teacher you will be teaching from KS3-KS4 and embed yourself fully into the PE department.
Duties:
- Plan and deliver engaging physical education lessons to students of all ages
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages participation and teamwork
- Develop lesson plans that align with the national curriculum and educational standards
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback on their performance
- Promote good sportsmanship, fair play, and positive behaviour management strategies
- Organise and supervise extracurricular sports activities and events
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to integrate physical education into interdisciplinary learning opportunities
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education or a related field
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification
- Strong knowledge of physical education principles, techniques, and best practices
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Experience in sports coaching or leading physical activities
- Ability to effectively manage student behaviour in a classroom setting
- Organisational skills to plan lessons, manage equipment, and maintain records
