Job Description:
Textiles Teacher | Immediate Interview | South East London
Role: Teacher of Textiles (maternity cover for up to 1 year)
Start: January 2025
Location: South East London
Contract: Maternity Cover
Rate: £180 - £220 per day
We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated, committed, and inspiring Teacher of Textiles to work in the Visual Arts and Design and Technology Curriculum Area. This is a Maternity Cover post, initially for two terms.
This Teacher of Textiles post would require you to teach some KS3 Design Technology, DT Textiles GCSE (DT Specification) and Fashion and Textiles GCSE and A-Level (both Art and Design Specification).
The successful Teacher of Textiles will:
*Have a good relevant first degree and be QTS qualified by the start date
*Have the subject knowledge and experience to teach Design Technology at KS3, DT
*Textiles GCSE and Fashion and Textiles GCSE and A-Level (Art and Design Specification)
*Be able to motivate and inspire students to love Design Technology and Art
*Be committed to working successfully as a member of a team
*Have very strong organisational and interpersonal skills
