As Deputy Head of Reward, you will lead on key areas such as total reward, pay and compliance, and job evaluation, ensuring our approach is aligned with both organisational objectives and sector best practice. You will deputise for the Head of Reward, providing strategic oversight and leadership when needed.
*Drive the total reward strategy, ensuring it supports attraction, retention, and employee satisfaction.
*Lead on pay and compliance matters, ensuring all processes align with statutory and regulatory requirements.
*Oversee the job evaluation process, ensuring consistency, fairness, and transparency across the organisation.
*Deputise for the Head of Reward, representing the reward function at key meetings and forums.
*Partner with senior leaders and HR colleagues to deliver innovative reward solutions tailored to organisational needs.
*Analyse market trends and data to ensure the competitiveness and sustainability of reward offerings.
Profile
*Proven experience in reward, pay compliance, and job evaluation within a complex organisation.
*Strong understanding of public sector reward challenges, with a strategic mindset and the ability to implement practical solutions.
*Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the gravitas to influence at senior levels.
*A collaborative approach to leadership, with the ability to deputise effectively and inspire confidence in others.
*Knowledge of job evaluation schemes (e.g., Hay, NJC) and pay structures.
