Our client are a well established accountancy practice based in the Wiltshire, renowned for there comprehensive services and commitment to excellence. The firm provides a wide range of accounting, auditing, taxation, and advisory services to a diverse portfolio of clients, including SMEs, large corporations, and high-net-worth individuals.
Role Overview:
The Senior Accountant will play a crucial role in managing client relationships, overseeing accounting processes, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial information. This position requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual with extensive experience in accounting and a strong understanding of UK accounting standards and regulations. The Senior Accountant will report to the Managing Partner and work closely with other team members to deliver high-quality services.
Key Responsibilities:
* Client Management:
*Serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of clients.
*Develop and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring satisfaction and retention.
*Provide expert advice on accounting, taxation, and financial matters.
* Accounting and Financial Reporting:
*Prepare and review financial statements.
*Oversee bookkeeping and ledger maintenance activities.
*Conduct financial analysis and prepare management reports.Process Improvement:
* *Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and enhance efficiency.
*Implement best practices in accounting and financial management.
*Stay updated with industry trends and regulatory changes.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Education:
*Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
*ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified.
* Experience:
*Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on practice experience.
*Proven track record in managing client relationships and delivering high-quality services.
*Strong experience in preparing financial statements, tax returns, and conducting audits.
* Skills:
*Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
*Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
*Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
*Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
