Job Description:
ESOL Teacher *Contract: Temporary, Full-Time
*Salary: £25 - £35 per hour including holiday pay
*Location: Derby
We are seeking an ESOL Teacher to join a vibrant college in Derby. This role involves 37 hours per week, with 24 of those being dedicated to teaching. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about language education and looking to make a significant impact in the lives of students aged 16 and above.
Day-to-day of the role: *Deliver engaging and effective ESOL lessons to students aged 16+.
*Prepare lesson plans and teaching materials that meet the curriculum standards.
*Assess and monitor student progress and provide feedback to help them improve.
*Participate in staff meetings and teacher training sessions to enhance teaching practices.
*Collaborate with other teaching staff to plan and coordinate lessons effectively.
*Maintain accurate records of students’ attendance, assessments, and progress.
Required Skills & Qualifications: *Must have a Level 2 qualification in Maths and English.
*A recognised teaching qualification.
*Proven experience in teaching ESOL to students aged 16+.
*A current DBS registered on the update service.
*Strong organisational and communication skills.
*Ability to engage and inspire students from diverse backgrounds.
