Your new role
In your new job as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting this Year 3/4 class alongside their teacher. You’ll work closely with the class teacher to deliver small-group work and pre-planned work with the whole class as well as assessing and reporting on pupils’ learning. You’ll be an essential part of the school community - offering support to pupils in the classroom, break times and transition times.

What you’ll need to succeed
To succeed in this job, you will have a Level 4 Higher Level Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent. You’ll also have experience as a HLTA in a Key Stage 2 class - ideally you will have a strong phonics knowledge base, experience supporting SEN pupils and excellent classroom management skills. Most importantly, you’ll need to be proactive and energetic - able to confidently support pupils and get stuck in with different classroom activities.
