The Role: I am seeking an inspiring andexperienced educator to lead this school’s Computer Science department as theHead of Computer Science across the whole school. This role involves shapingthe future of students’ education in technology and computer science, fosteringa culture of curiosity, creativity, and academic excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
*Provide strategic leadership and vision for the Computer Science department.
*Develop and implement a modern, engaging curriculum that meets educational standards and prepares students for future technological advancements.
*Mentor and support Computer Science teachers, promoting professional development and collaborative teaching practices.
*Foster a stimulating and inclusive learning environment where all students can succeed.
*Engage with students, parents, and the wider school community to promote the importance of computer science education.
*Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and developments in computer science education and integrate them into the curriculum.
*Manage departmental budgets and resources efficiently.

Qualifications:
*A degree in Computer Science, Education, or a related field (a postgraduate qualification is desirable).
*Teaching qualification and experience in a secondary school setting.
*Proven leadership and management skills within an educational environment.
*Strong commitment to inclusive education and the ability to inspire students of all abilities.
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
*Passion for computer science and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
