Job Description:
Location: Staplehurst, Kent
Salary: £29,000 - £32,000 Pro Rata, DOE
Hours: part time, Thursday and Friday
Contract: Part time

We seek motivated and experienced applicants interested in joining our current team as an IMPORT/EXPORT CO-ORDINATOR. We are leading specialists in the design, manufacture and installation of bespoke magnetic shielding solutions and magnetically shielded rooms, and have an expanding customer base throughout the UK, Europe, USA and Asia. With a manufacturing facility in Staplehurst, Kent fully equipped with the latest technology, we are able to provide our customers with the highest level of service and quality. The role requires assisting a small, close-knit team with all administrative aspects of the shipping and despatch function, along with other administrative duties. To be considered for this role you will need to possess the ability to work within a small team, be numerate, have excellent attention to detail and be adaptable to helping colleagues as and when needed. The role has the potential for the right candidate to progress within the department.
The Role:
• To support the Import/Export Manager in daily shipping activities
• Assist with checking and filing import-export documentation to ensure compliance with record keeping procedures
• Assist with arranging carriers to ship goods & material, working with suppliers to obtain best prices.
• Assist with generating all necessary shipping paperwork, including commercial invoices, packing lists & labels.
• Assist with scanning shipping documents and ensuring on time delivery.
• Updating the sales team with shipment information & assisting them with shipping quotations as required.
• Providing cover for packing department when required
Essential Skills:
• Educated to at least GCSE level, including English/Maths
• Ideally 12 months experience in transferable administrative role, but full training will be given for entry level candidates
• Highly organised in approach and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Excellent attention to detail – accuracy in document preparation and compliance
• High level of IT proficiency – experience of Word/ Excel and ideally MRP systems or similar
• Good problem-solving skills – able to use own initiative
• Ability to work to deadlines
• Team player
• Willingness to learn
• Good interpersonal skills for dealing with suppliers & customers
