Teaching Assistant Level 3 – Mentor *Location: East Sussex
*Job Type: Full-Time
*Working Hours: 8.30am–3.30pm, Monday to Friday
*Salary: £90-£95 Day Rate
We are recruiting for an Alternative Provision in East Sussex. We are inviting an inspirational Teaching Assistant – Mentor to be part of a dedicated team. The school caters for 4–16-year-olds excluded from mainstream education, and are focused on enhancing and expanding services to meet their needs.
Day to day of the role: *Support pupils in accessing lessons and overcoming educational and social challenges.
*Provide both classroom and pastoral support, collaborating with teachers to create impactful learning programs.
*Serve as a supportive pastoral contact for all pupils and assist tutors as part of the tutor team.
*Supervise classes during staff absences, ensuring the delivery of quality education.
*Foster and advocate for meaningful relationships with young people who have faced barriers in mainstream education.
Required Skills & Qualifications: *A naturally enthusiastic, flexible, and supportive approach to education.
*Previous experience working with children or young people.
*Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to connect with students.
*A keen willingness to learn and pursue professional development.
*Commitment to receiving appropriate training as needed for the role.
