Graduate Teaching Assistant - Secondary School - Lewisham
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Full-Time, Long-Term
Salary: Dependent on Experience

We are seeking a Graduate Teaching Assistant to join our dynamic and supportive team at a vibrant mainstream secondary school in Lewisham. Responsibilities:
*Assist the classroom teacher in delivering lessons and supporting students across a range of subjects.
*Provide one-to-one and small group support for students, including those with special educational needs (SEN).
*Help manage classroom behaviour and promote a positive learning environment.
*Support the development of student work, including helping with revision and exam preparation.
*Observe and assist with student progress, providing feedback where necessary.
*Support extracurricular activities and school events as needed.
Requirements:
*A recent graduate (ideally with a degree in Education, Psychology, or a related field).
*Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
*A genuine interest in working with young people and helping them succeed.
*Previous child-based experience is preferred but not essential.
*A current DBS certificate on the Update Service is required (or willingness to apply for one).
*A proactive, flexible, and positive attitude.
Desirable:
*Experience working with children in any capacity (e.g., tutoring, coaching, volunteering).
*Knowledge of SEN or experience supporting students with additional learning needs.
