SEN Teaching Assistant (Sensory Impairments) *Location: Sheffield
*Job Type: Full-time/Part-time
Are you passionate about supporting children with sensory impairments? We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistants with experience in Braille and BSL to join our outstanding school in Sheffield. This role is perfect for someone who is committed to creating an inclusive environment and has a genuine passion for supporting the educational and personal development of students with sensory impairments.
Day-to-day of the role: *Work closely with teachers to deliver tailored support to students with sensory impairments.
*Utilise Braille and British Sign Language (BSL) to effectively communicate and support students.
*Assist in the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
*Monitor and support the progress and well-being of students.
*Facilitate inclusive activities and ensure accessibility for all students.
Required Skills & Qualifications: *Previous experience in a similar SEN Teaching Assistant role or a transferable position.
*Proficiency in Braille and British Sign Language (BSL).
*Confidence and a proactive approach to supporting children with special needs.
*A DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
*A compassionate and patient approach, with a commitment to enhancing student learning and development.
