Job Description:
Tool Room Engineer
Ilkeston, DE7
Temp to Perm Position
Hours: Flexible, dependent on the individual
Pay: Negotiable, approximately £13-14 per hour
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain and repair injection moulding tools and precision equipment
• Produce parts and fixtures for new or prototype machinery
• Read and create technical drawings
• Operate hand tools and powered machinery for high-quality part production
• Use precision measurement instruments
• Assist with machine breakdowns and problem-solving
• Maintain cleanliness and adhere to HSE, BRCGS AA, and FDA standards
Requirements:
• Experience in tool room engineering, particularly with injection moulding
• Proficiency in working with various materials (metals, alloys, plastics, ceramics)
• Ability to read and produce technical drawings
• Skilled in using precision measurement instruments
• Knowledge of HSE, BRCGS, and FDA standards is advantageous
