Classroom Support Worker - Didcot

The role as a Classroom Support Worker:
*To support students who struggle with their class work
*Facilitate a sun and friendly learning environment
*To provide support to the class teacher
*To help the class teacher prepare lesson materials and classroom boards
*To keep the classroom a tidy and presentable environment
*To encourage children to do their best
*Help manage classroom behaviour
*Listen to the children read and practice their phonics
The successful Classroom Support Worker:
*You will need to be calm and compassionate. Personality is everything!
*You must be able to take initiative well and problem solve
*Have some experience working with children, desirable but not essential
*You must be patient. Some students struggle with additional learning needs and need someone supportive to help them get through the school day
*You must understand the importance of safeguarding in schools
*Must have an enhanced DBS Check or be willing to apply for one
*Must have right to live/work in the UK - we not offer sponsorships
** If you do not have a DBS certificate - we can support your application
