we have a new role for a contracts + commercial manager to join our tech team on on our continuous journey of true nourishment
working predominantly for wagamama and supporting other divisions as necessary, you will manage the groups commercial contracts. you will manage the day-day with our suppliers, ensuring that initiatives are aligned with business strategy and agreed architecture. responsible for the full lifecycle of technology contracts and commercials, ensuring the company enters into agreements that are commercially advantageous and mitigate risk as well as identifying trends and opportunities to optimise value to wagamama!
you’ll report into the head of technology products + work closely with the technology director and other senior stakeholders, being a key partner to our product, strategy & architecture, change and service & operations teams, as well as the finance department, providing expert guidance and leadership throughout the contracting process.
your role |
*draft, review, and negotiate a variety of technology contracts, including software licenses, hardware purchases, cloud services agreements, and maintenance contracts.
*collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into clear and concise contractual terms.
*manage the negotiation process to secure the best possible terms for the company, while maintaining strong relationships with vendors and partners.
*key approver of all invoices running through the department, ensuring that the department is tracking to budget and able to make adjustments to process through monitoring spending trends.
*oversee the contract approval process, working closely with legal counsel and business leads.
*manage post-execution contract administration, including monitoring performance, tracking key milestones, and resolving any contractual disputes.
*identify and implement process improvements to streamline the contracting process.
what we look for |
*bachelor’s degree in business administration, law, or a related field preferred
*experience in technology contracts and commercials management or buying
*proven experience in drafting, negotiating, and managing a variety of technology contracts
*strong understanding of contract law principles and best practices
*excellent negotiation and communication skills
*strong analytical thinking and problem-solving
*energetic, optimistic and driven, focusing on action and outcomes and willing to get stuck in where required
*excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to work through a team and across all levels in an organisation
