Job Description:
This is predominantly an admin role that supports both students and staff within the Faculty of Media and Communication and will provide a flexible resource working across the Faculty. The post-holder will work closely with the other administrators and academic staff within the Faculty and will provide first class, proactive, administrative support to a wide range of stakeholders. This will require a constant evaluation of priorities, excellent communication skills and a broad understanding of the Faculty’s portfolio of programmes, both undergraduate and postgraduate.
In addition the post-holder will provide specific administrative support in connection with other aspects of the Faculty’s business.
The role will be required to work across teams, providing mutual support within other teams in BU when required to address workload peaks, cover for staff absence and ensure consistent delivery of a professional and efficient service.
Strong written and communications skills needed, good with MS office and competent with computers and technology.

This role is part-time - 18.5 hours - ideally Weds afternoon, then Thursday and Friday, but there is some flex around this to fit round the candidate.
£14.42 an hour inc holiday pay
The role will be based on Talbot Campus.
Role to start 9th December till the 31st January (not inc Christmas shut down from 20th Dec to 2nd January 2025)
