Job Description:
This is an exciting opportunity for a Compliance Officer within the legal industry. The position involves ensuring that our operations and business transactions follow all relevant legal and internal rules.

Description
*Drafting and maintaining in-house contract templates, policies, disclaimers, privacy notices, terms of business and client care letters.
*Carrying out risk assessments and implementing results.
*Reviewing and negotiating supplier contracts, NDAs, confidentiality agreements, solicitor undertakings, and data processing & sharing agreements.
*Advising the fee-earners on both AML and Anti-Bribery issues
*Advising on potential Conflict and confidentiality issues
*Acting as a point of contact for external and regulatory authorities such as the SRA, Law Society and Legal Ombudsman
*Preparing the firm for regulatory & external audits
*Renewing solicitors SRA practising certificates
*Delivering compliance inductions to all new joiners
*Handling Data subject access requests, data protection impact assessments, drafting and reviewing data protection agreements
*Developing and implementing company policies and regulations.
Profile
Essential requirements:
*A degree in law, business administration or a related field.
*Proven experience as a Compliance Officer within a law firm.
*Good knowledge of SRA legal requirements and procedures.
*Strong analytical skills with the ability to handle complex situations.
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
*A strong sense of ethics and the ability to handle confidential information.
