Your role as an Audit Manager
This role goes beyond managing audits. You’ll be a key player in supporting client growth and driving the team’s success. Expect to:
*Oversee your own client portfolio, managing workflow, WIP, and billing.
*Delegate and review audit, accounts, and tax compliance tasks, providing detailed feedback to team members.
*Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and new clients, identifying opportunities for growth and improvement.
*Engage in business development activities, including attending networking and marketing events, pitching for new work, and preparing tender documents.
*Support the team in wider responsibilities, such as recruitment, mentoring, and marketing initiatives.
What you’ll need to succeed as an Audit Manager
*A professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, ICAS, or CA) and experience managing a portfolio of clients.
*Proven people management skills with the ability to lead and mentor a team effectively.
*Strong time management and organisational abilities to balance multiple priorities.
*A commercial mindset and dedication to client development.
*Familiarity with audit software (e.g., Caseware) and Microsoft Office tools.
