Responsibilities of this role:
*Lead on the review of our safeguarding approach and processes, identifying and implementing areas for improvement.
*Develop our safeguarding strategy, policies, procedures and embed them throughout our systems, particularly in fitness to practise.
*Refine our safeguarding policy and develop guidance that supports our people to develop their confidence, skills, knowledge and experience to know when they need to refer to a safeguarding officer and when they themselves should refer to local authorities and other statutory safeguarding bodies.
*Develop our recording systems in relation to individual safeguarding matters.
*Ensure the safeguarding policies are inclusive and duly consider equality diversity and anti-racism.
*Help to embed safeguarding processes in all areas of the organisation.
*Design and deliver safeguarding training across the organisation
Requirements of this role:
*Must be a Qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England.
*Must have a Social Work qualification (Diploma in social work, social work degree or equivalent)
*Must have minimum of 3 years’ post qualified experience.
