Job Description:
Our client is an investment company based in London, and they are looking for a Senior Finance Manager to join them on a 12 month maternity cover contract.
This is a hybrid role with 3 days in the office.
The successful candidate will hold a key management position within the Finance team. Responsible for the day-to-day running of the UK finance team, the Manager will be the main contact point for UK based business activities.
In addition to the base salary, there will be a 30% bonus paid upon completion of the contract.
Key Duties will include:
*Managing, supporting and developing the UK finance team of 4;
*Overseeing the day-to-day finance operations in the UK, including contracting, invoicing, approving payments, cost allocation, intercompany lending, expenses, hedging and other treasury functions;
*Oversee preparation of IFRS group reporting packs, standalone IFRS and UK GAAP financial statements;
*Coordinating external audit for local companies;
*Supporting financial planning and budgeting for the UK based business units and central infrastructure;
*Providing transaction support for business units and internal restructures;
*Supporting the tax team with information for preparation of tax returns and implementing transfer pricing arrangements;
*Supervising compliance with finance, tax and other local reporting requirements and deadlines;
*Monitor and enhance finance controls in the companies under remit;
*Acting as the key point of contact for internal (Group finance, compliance, tax, legal etc) and key external (tax advisers, banks etc) stakeholders in relation to UK companies;
*Ad hoc finance related projects;
*Oversight of accounting service providers in other jurisdictions, if applicable, in line with the Group’s expansion plans;
*Coordinating the ERP implementation project for the UK operations.
Requirements:
*Have at least 8 years’ experience in financial reporting;
*Experience leading an in-house finance team;
*Accounting professional qualification completed (ACA/ACCA or equivalent internationally recognised qualification);
*Strong grasp of both UK GAAP and IFRS;
*ERP implementation experience is a strong plus as a new system will be implemented in 2025
*Highly organised way of working with an eye for detail;
*Independent and proactive in finding solutions;
