Job Title: Data Analytics Specialist
Location: Hybrid (3 days onsite in Burgess Hill)
Contract Type: 6-Month Rolling Contract
Pay Rate: £270 per day (Inside IR35)
Overview:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled Data Analytics Specialist to join a dynamic team. The successful candidate will bring a strong analytical mindset and a passion for leveraging data to generate actionable insights. This hybrid role will require working onsite three days per week in Burgess Hill, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful data engagement, analysis, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Essential Skills & Experience:
*3-5 years of experience in data analytics and working with complex datasets.
*Strong proficiency in SQL and a basic understanding of Python and Jupyter Notebook.
*Hands-on experience with Tableau or Power BI (training will be provided if needed).
*Knowledge of statistical analysis techniques such as hypothesis testing and regression analysis.
*Familiarity with Agile project management frameworks and data governance principles.
*Proven ability to adapt to shifting priorities and deliver solutions in ambiguous environments.
*Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages to various audiences.
Desirable Skills:
*Experience with tools like JIRA, SharePoint, and Confluence.
*Basic understanding of software development and testing principles.
*Interest in growing product management capabilities.
*Knowledge of colleague privacy and compliance processes (training provided).
Analysis
*Analyse and identify source system requirements from backlog priorities.
*Engage with source systems, performing data analysis and identifying valuable insights.
*Own end-to-end engagements, from analysis and documentation to communicating results to stakeholders.
*Investigate and resolve data-related issues and proactively explore use cases for additional insights.
*Identify key Personally Identifiable Information (PII) fields and assess related privacy impacts.
Testing
*Define and validate expected results in collaboration with relevant teams.
*Perform end-to-end validation of data, including business rule applications and transformations.
Product Delivery
*Identify and mitigate risks, challenges, and opportunities.
*Collaborate on backlog prioritisation processes and contribute to writing business rules for data transformation.
*Assist in data extraction and support data display within insight applications.
Compliance
*Ensure colleague privacy and data protection is maintained throughout all processes.
*Support compliance stakeholders by preparing and presenting relevant documentation (e.g., Privacy Impact Assessments).
*Provide data analysis to support audit and process activities.
*Rates depend on experience and client requirements
