Year 3 SEN Teaching Assistant - Lovely Primary School, Tottenham, Haringey
Are you a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant looking to make a real difference in the lives of children with Autism? Tradewind Recruitment is delighted to be working with a Lovely Primary School in Tottenham, Haringey, to recruit a skilled Year 3 SEN Teaching Assistant.
The Role
This fulfilling position involves providing 1-1 support for children with Autism within a Year 3 class. Your role will be to create a nurturing and inclusive environment that enables these children to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Experience in phonics is essential, as you will be supporting pupils in developing their literacy skills. You will collaborate closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver tailored support and adapt learning activities to meet individual needs.
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will have:
*Must have: Proven 1-1 experience supporting children with Autism or additional needs in a school setting.
*A strong understanding of phonics and its application in primary education.
*Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
*Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with pupils, staff, and parents.
*Must have used PECS and Visual timetables
*A commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
The Details
*Location: Lovely Primary School, Tottenham, Haringey.
*Salary: £90-£95 per day, dependent on experience.
*Hours: Full-time, term time only, Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 3:30 pm.
