1:1 Teaching Assistant (TA) - Year 6
Location: Lambeth Contract: Full-time Start Date: January 2025
Job DescriptionWe are seeking a dedicated and nurturing 1:1 Teaching Assistant (TA) with strong behaviour management skills to support a challenging Year 6 child. This role requires the ability to work at the KS2 level, although the child is not yet working at the Year 6 level.
Key Responsibilities
*1:1 Support: Provide tailored support to a Year 6 child, starting with one hour a day and increasing over time.
*Behaviour Management: Implement effective behaviour management strategies to support the child’s learning and development.
*Nurturing Approach: Foster a supportive and encouraging environment to help the child thrive.
*Collaborative Planning: Work closely with teachers and other staff to plan and deliver appropriate interventions.
*Additional Support: Assisting other children in the classroom when the primary child is not in school.
Requirements
*Experience working with children in a primary school setting, particularly in KS2.
*Strong behaviour management skills.
*A nurturing and patient approach to supporting the child’s individual needs.
*The ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other staff.
*Flexibility to adapt to the child’s evolving timetable and needs.
