Job Title: Accountant
Location: Lytham
Remuneration: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum
Contract Details: Permanent, Full Time, Hybrid
Our client, a reputable organisation in the accounting industry, is currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Accountant to join their team. As an Accountant, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients, ensuring compliance, and providing high-quality services.
Responsibilities:
*Take care of a portfolio of clients, providing a compliant and professional service
*Meet all compliance deadlines for clients and review work done by assistants
*Prepare accounts, VAT returns, corporation tax returns, and other necessary compliance work
*Handle bookkeeping tasks, using systems like Free Agent, Xero, and QuickBooks
*Train junior team members and handle all client communications
*Manage inbound and outbound post and ensure timely invoicing for clients
*Collaborate with clients on tax planning and register them for relevant taxes with HMRC
*Keep accurate and up-to-date records for clients at Companies House
*Process payroll for clients and provide cover for colleagues when needed
What we expect of you:
*Working towards an accounting qualification or qualified by experience
