Job Description:
Are you a seasoned finance professional ready to lead in a dynamic and growing business? A leading PLC house builder based in the South West is seeking a Group Financial Controller to oversee and enhance its financial operations.
As the Group Financial Controller you will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial strategy and ensuring robust financial governance across the organisation. This position offers a platform to drive efficiency, accuracy, and strategic insight in a high-growth environment.
Key Responsibilities:
*Lead the preparation of consolidated group accounts, budgets, and forecasts.
*Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and accounting standards.
*Oversee cash flow management and financial risk analysis.
*Manage and develop a high-performing finance team.
*Provide strategic financial advice to senior leadership.
*Enhance internal controls and financial processes.
*Drive efficiencies and contribute to long-term business goals.
What We’re Looking For:
*(ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with at least 5+ years post-qualification experience.
*Demonstrable experience in a senior financial leadership role, ideally within the construction, property, or related sectors.
*Expertise in group consolidations and IFRS reporting.
*Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a commercial mind-set.
*A proactive leader capable of inspiring teams and influencing stakeholders.
*Familiarity with large PLC environments or high-growth businesses is an advantage.
Location:
South West, with occasional travel as required.
