Position: Year 5 Teacher
Location: Luton, Bedfordshire
Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Start Date: January 2025
Salary: MPS, up to M6 (Pro Rata) depending on experience

Key Responsibilities:
*Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and challenging lessons that inspire and motivate Year 5 pupils
*Provide a balanced curriculum, focusing on both academic and personal development
*Prepare pupils for their end-of-key-stage assessments (SATs), ensuring high standards of progress and achievement
*Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where every child is encouraged to reach their full potential
*Monitor and assess students’ progress, providing constructive feedback to support their learning
*Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and parents to enhance pupils’ learning experience
*Participate in whole-school events, extra-curricular activities, and staff meetings
Requirements:
*Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential
*Experience teaching Year 5 or Key Stage 2 is highly desirable
*Strong knowledge of the UK National Curriculum, particularly in literacy and numeracy
*Ability to differentiate teaching to meet the diverse needs of all pupils
*Passion for developing children’s confidence, resilience, and love for learning
*Excellent classroom management skills with a commitment to maintaining high standards of behaviour
*Applicants must have an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
*Ability to supply two years’ worth of references
*Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to working with parents and the wider school community
