Jewson, a leading building materials distributor in Northern Europe, is on the hunt for a Tool Hire Assistant to join the team in our Selby branch,who’s as passionate about great service as we are.

Hours: 7:30am-5pm Mon-Fri, every 2nd Sat 8am-12pm

**Please note: a manual UK driving license is a requirement of this role
Key Responsibilities
This is a varied and fast paced role - you’ll be delivering to customers in our Jewson Flatbed van, organising hires at the Tool Hire desk and maintaining the tools and machinery we hire out. We also provide an extensive training program with this role so you have the knowledge to assist you in your role!
* Develop great relationships with new and existing customers, understanding their needs, and providing advice and solutions so that you can deliver the best experience possible
* Use our in-house systems to process customer orders, organise tool hire delivery and collection, keeping customers updated throughout their journey
* Delivery and collection of tools and equipment using a 3.5t vehicle, talking customers through how to use them on site
* Carry out basic maintenance and cleaning of our tool hire equipment in the workshop
* Working according to Health & Safety compliance
Required Skills and Experience
* Full driving licence, held for a minimum of 1 year (manual transmission with no more than 6 points)
* Experience in a customer facing role
* Previous industry experience preferred but not essential
* Stellar communication and people skills
* Customer focussed individual
