The successful candidate will be responsible for the effective planning and execution of distribution routes on their dedicated nights operation on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern.
Description
The Transport Planner will have the below duties and responsibilities:
*Planning and coordinating daily distribution routes for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
*Ensuring compliance with transport laws and regulations.
*Managing team members to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
*Analysing data to monitor performance and plan improvements.
*Collaborating with other departments to integrate logistics with business systems.
*Implementing health and safety protocols in all transport operations.
*Addressing and resolving any issues or complaints regarding transportation and logistics.
*Continually updating knowledge of advancements in transportation technology and industry trends.
Profile
A successful Transport Planner should have:
*Proven experience in a logistics, transport planning or a similar role.
*Strong knowledge of transport regulations and safety standards.
*Excellent organisational and team management skills.
*Proficiency in logistics and routing software.
*Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a keen attention to detail.
*Able to commit to the required shift pattern - 4 on 4 off nights
