Statutory Accountant *Annual Salary: £55,000 - £60,000
*Warwick - Hybrid (3 days work from home)
We are seeking a Senior Statutory Accountant to join a Multi-National Organisation. This role offers the opportunity to handle statutory financial duties within a dynamic environment looking after multiple entities and building a team. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in managing statutory accounting processes and compliance, and will play a key role in financial reporting and analysis.
Day-to-day of the role: *Prepare and submit statutory financial statements in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
*Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual closing of accounts.
*Liaise with external auditors to facilitate audits and ensure compliance with all statutory requirements.
*Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in financial regulations and legislation that may impact the organisation.
*Assist in the preparation of tax returns and other statutory filings.
*Analyse financial statements and reports to identify discrepancies and areas for improvement.
*Support budgeting and forecasting processes.
*Train and mentor junior staff on statutory accounting standards and processes.
Required Skills & Qualifications *Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
*Proven experience in statutory accounting and financial reporting.
*Strong understanding of UK GAAP & IFRS.
*Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
*Experience utilising SAP is desirable
*Big 4 or Practice background is highly desirable.
*Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
