Job Description:
We are currently seeking a dedicated Finance Assistant for a temporary position on behalf of our esteemed client based in Maidstone. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with a strong background in finance to contribute to a dynamic team.
Finance Assistant Day-to-Day of the Role:
*Assisting with the preparation of financial documents such as invoices, bills, and accounts payable and receivable
*Completing purchase orders and managing payroll
*Completing bank reconciliations
*Entering financial information into appropriate software programs
*Managing company ledgers
*Processing business expenses and managing budgets and petty cash
*Coordinating internal and external audits
*Verifying balances in account books and rectifying discrepancies
*Verifying bank deposits and managing day-to-day transactions
*Reporting on debtors and creditors
*Handling accruals and prepayments
*Managing monthly budgeting tasks
Finance Assistant Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Proven experience in a similar Finance Assistant role
*Strong understanding of finance regulations and accounting processes
*High level of organisational skills and ability to manage a number of projects at the same time
*Ability to work to deadlines
*Knowledge of financial software and advanced MS Excel skills
*Data entry skills with an ability to identify numerical errors
*Good attention to detail and analytical skills
