Job Description:
We are currently working with a a small but successful business based in the Didcot area who are seeking someone to join them as an Finance Assistant on a permanent basis.
This is a great opportunity for someone looking to join an established forward thinking business that provides a family and team-orientated working environment. Ideally you will have some experience in a similar role, knowledge of basic accounting principles, strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
You will be working in a small finance team and reporting into the Accounts Manager, duties will the following;
*Perform data entry and maintain accurate financial records
*Enter customer payments and chase outstanding invoices
*Reconcile bank statements and resolve any discrepancies
*Help maintain the company management system
*Create credit notes
*Support the finance team with various administrative tasks
*Assisting with accounts payable and receivable tasks
Successful applicants should have the following :
*Knowledge of basic accounting principles
*Excel, Sage, QuickBooks, or PeopleSoft - beneficial but not essential
*Excellent organisational and time management skills
*Be able to work well in a team environment
