Shape the Future of Fire Safety: Special Risk Fire Suppression Estimator (Pre-Design) – UK
Introduction:
Johnson Controls / Tyco, a global leader in fire suppression systems with a rich heritage dating back to the invention of the first sprinkler system in 1885, is seeking a talented Special Risk Fire Suppression Estimator. Join our collaborative and innovative team dedicated to protecting critical environments.
The Role:
In this exciting role, you’ll play a vital role in shaping the future of fire safety by providing expert pre-design and cost estimation for special risk fire suppression projects. You’ll work on prestigious projects of varying sizes, offering a challenging and rewarding environment for growth.
Responsibilities:
Analyse client briefs and specifications to understand project requirements.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to define project scope and timelines.
Develop outline designs using AutoCAD (training provided) or leveraging the in-house Design Centre of Excellence.
Create accurate cost estimates using Microsoft Office suite with support from our experienced Operations team.
Prepare detailed tenders outlining project scope, inclusions, exclusions, and pricing.
Present proposals to clients alongside the Sales team, demonstrating expertise and confidence in Johnson Controls’ capabilities.
Assist the Sales team in securing orders and ensuring smooth project execution.
Stay up-to-date on industry standards like FM, NFPA, and LPC.
Qualifications:
The Ideal Candidate: Ideally possesses experience in fire suppression systems design, project management, installation, or estimation.
Strong understanding of water-based suppression systems is a plus.
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, experience of AutoCAD is a bonus.
Highly motivated with a desire to learn and develop expertise.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
