Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated Domestic Assistant to join our team and ensure that our building remains clean, tidy, and hygienic. In this role, you will work closely with your colleagues to maintain high standards of cleanliness, reporting directly to the senior person on duty for instructions regarding cleaning materials and task allocation. The Domestic Assistant must be able to manage various cleaning duties efficiently and be prepared to cooperate with others, especially during times of staff shortages or illness. Additionally, you will play a key role in supervising and training new staff members in cleaning procedures.
Your responsibilities will include rotating cleaning duties as directed by the Unit Manager and assisting residents with cleaning equipment and materials to support their self-determination as outlined in their care plans. Participation in staff meetings and training activities will also be required to ensure continuous improvement and adherence to best practices.
Candidates should have basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and internet use. A warm, friendly manner is essential, given the frequent interaction with residents and keyworkers. Respect for all aspects of Christian worship is required, and the successful applicant will need to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme and undergo the necessary vetting checks. If you are committed to providing excellent service in a supportive environment, we would be pleased to receive your application.
We also offer you a range of benefits that you would expect from an organisation that support others.

We also ensure that your future and that of your loved ones is secured with a generous contributory pension plan and death in service benefit. Balancing work and family are made easier with our suite of enhanced family friendly policies and your health and wellness are prioritised with access to our health cash plan, giving you cash back for a wide range of health treatments. We even have access to a care concierge service to assist you with life’s challenges, providing invaluable support when you need it most.
But we also know that your training and development is important to you, and as well as a contribution to your professional membership fees, we are keen to support you in making the right steps to learn, grow and develop in ways that are right for you.
