Job Description:
Pre-Construction Manager / BID Manager - REMOTE ROLE. Our client is a leading nationwide highways contractor specialising in street lighting, traffic signs, technology, and civil engineering. With a strong reputation for delivering complex infrastructure projects, they are seeking an experienced Pre-Construction Manager to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to lead the tendering process for major contracts within the highways sector.

The Role:
As Pre-Construction Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing the tendering process, overseeing a team of three estimators, and regularly pitching to customers to secure new business. You’ll have a strategic influence on project planning, ensuring that bids are commercially competitive and align with client requirements.

Pre-Construction Manager Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the tendering process, ensuring high-quality and competitive submissions.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of three estimators.
- Prepare and deliver compelling customer pitches to secure contracts.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including design, engineering, and project delivery, to align tender strategies.
- Analyze project requirements and provide innovative, cost-effective solutions.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity to inform bid strategies.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, legal requirements, and company policies.

Pre- Construction Manager - About You:
- Proven experience as a Pre-Construction Manager, Estimator, or Bid Manager within the highways, traffic signals, or associated infrastructure sectors.
- Strong knowledge of highways construction, traffic signals, and/or civil engineering.
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
- Demonstrable experience in tendering and delivering successful bids.
- Outstanding presentation and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Analytical and detail-oriented, with excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in estimating tools and software.
