*Job Title: Commercial Claims Handler
*Location: Chelmsford/Hybrid
*Salary: upto £35,000 pa + benefits
Our Client
We are pleased to be partnered with a leading independent Broker currently seeking an experienced Commercial Claims Handler to join their expanding team in Chelmsford, focusing on Commercial Property, Liability, Marine and Business Interruption
They take pride in their personable, professional, and proactive approach to delivering excellent client care. This role is highly customer-focused, requiring the successful candidate to provide outstanding claims service. Proven experience in handling all classes of commercial claims will enable the candidate to manage claims efficiently from start to finish.
Role Responsibilities
*Manage claims across various products, including Property, Liability, Marine, and Business Interruption, ensuring service standards are met or exceeded.
*Maintain an efficient claims diary system, ensuring timely follow-ups and progression of cases.
*Provide claims information and reports to the broking department and clients, including producing MI reports when required.
*Handle complex claims in accordance with company procedures, ensuring the best possible outcomes for clients.
*Acknowledge new claims promptly, keeping clients and insurers updated throughout the process.
*Meet with clients to present claims updates and ensure personal CPD is maintained by keeping skills and knowledge current.
Experience:
*Minimum of 2 years’ experience handling Commercial Claims.
*Committed to delivering outstanding customer service.
*Knowledge of Acturis is beneficial but not essential.
*CII certification preferred, with company support available for those wishing to pursue it.
*Highly organised with strong time management and problem-solving abilities, capable of multitasking while maintaining attention to detail.
*Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
