Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Operative to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who is physically fit, active, and hardworking. The successful candidate will be responsible for various tasks within our warehouse, ensuring efficient operations and meeting the demands of our business.
Day-to-day of the role: *Loading and unloading goods from delivery vehicles.
*Checking for damaged or missing items and then sorting stock for storage in the warehouse.
*Stacking goods in the correct storage bays, following inventory control instructions.
*Picking and packing orders with attention to detail.
*Ensuring that orders are processed efficiently and that the delivery of materials meets customers timescales/requirements.
*Operating handling equipment and ensuring safety regulations are followed.
*Monitoring stock levels and reporting any discrepancies to the Warehouse Manager.
*Keeping records of inventory and managing paperwork related to warehouse operations.
Required Skills & Qualifications: *Physically fit and able to lift heavy objects safely.
*Previous experience in a warehouse role is advantageous but not essential.
*Good organisational skills and the ability to multitask.
*Strong work ethic and punctuality.
*Basic computer skills for managing inventory data.
*Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
