Our Team
Digital Service Support (DSS) sits within Technical Operations and Cyber Security (TOCS) and is responsible for supporting the bank’s Digital Banking Services. Our team is responsible for deployment of project changes to the platform and at the same time providing technical support, maintenance and improvement of underlying technical estate within all the environments involved in the software delivery lifecycle.
This is crucial to our organization’s strategy to be a fully digitized bank and to improve our customer experience thus contributing to our purpose of Making you happier about money.

What you’ll be doing
• Defect/Incident/Problem investigation across NFT and Production environments, validation and resolution within technical specialism(s). Contributing to resolution of all environmental issues
• Deployment of code on our OpenShift platform as per the playbook and plan, during business hours for non-critical services and out of hours for our important business services
• Improving our delivery through innovation, continuous improvement and automation
• Collaboration with other teams and escalating where necessary to the Senior team members to ensure issues are resolved within agreed SLAs
• Participate in lessons learned, supporting implementation of improvements to mitigate further issues arising
• Input to review of playbooks and code to ensure that they are to a suitable standard, supporting resolution of initial defect/playbook issues from initial delivery through to deployment
• Liaise with Business and Development teams to ensure appropriate tests are executed utilising appropriate testing tools
• Working with project & technical teams to ensure our solutions meet the organisation’s operational and strategic needs
• Collaborating with internal and external parties to provide excellent customer service.
• Engineering systems to be more reliable and scalable
• Supporting our services on-premise and on Azure, through the proactive identification of risk and swift resolution of live issues while maintaining excellent customer service
We need you to have
• SME in at least one of our key skills UNIX, ADC(F5), IM, WAS, Oracle, Pega, MQ, ESB, Openshift
• Good technical knowledge of Testing, Environments, Implementation and Application Support experience
• Experience of monitoring tools, frameworks and processes (AppDynamics, Dynatrace)
• A growth mindset with a proactive attitude to learning new technologies and skills
• Highly collaborative with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Experience working within large multi-platform environments.
• Strong understanding of application performance management concepts
• Ability to act as a SME, can mentor others, posses good leadership skills
• Extensive understanding of the services that we support on iB platform and their related technical landscape
• Knowledge of reviewing/updating playbooks
• Familiar with SDLC and Agile methodologies
• Technical SME knowledge to internal/external teams of the all environments
• Be willing to join our 24/7 on call rota
It’s a bonus if you have but not essential
• Strong scripting and automation skills
• Experience with Terraform
• Experience with Azure
• Knowledge of cloud-based tooling, scripting, and monitoring.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Experience with application profiling skills (Java Micro Services, MQ etc.).
• Experience with middleware technologies (WebSphere, WebLogic)
• Experience of Process Improvements and Lean Methodology
