Quality Lab Technician (Temporary 12 months Maternity Cover)
Are you a detail-oriented individual with a passion for quality and testing? Saint-Gobain Formula in Newark is seeking a Quality Lab Technician to join our team on a temporary maternity cover basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity to play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and consistency of our products, working within a dynamic and busy QC laboratory.
Key Responsibilities:
*Product Testing: Mix powders with water to replicate customer usage and assess product properties, including particle size, colour, purity, viscosity, and setting characteristics.
*Final Product Approval: Test and approve finished products for customer release, ensuring adherence to rigorous quality standards.
*Sample Management: Test approximately 60-70 samples per day, working efficiently to meet deadlines.
*Raw Material Testing: Conduct occasional testing of raw materials to confirm their quality and suitability.
*Process Control: Support process testing and controls within the plant to maintain production quality.
*Collaborate with operators on QC testing, ensuring smooth workflows and accurate results.
What We’re Looking For:
*Experience in a QC laboratory or similar environment.
*Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
*Ability to manage high sample volumes in a fast-paced setting.
*Familiarity with quality control procedures and testing methods (preferred).
*Confidence in approving products for customer release.
*Experience with WCM and ISO 9001 is a bonus.
