Job Description:
Special Needs Learning Mentor - January 2025
*SEN Learning Support and Teaching Assistant -
*Long Term: January 2025 to Summer 2025 (With permanent contracts available)
*Supporting Special Educational Needs, such as Autism, Aspergers, ADHD and other learning needs (Including Non-Verbal and Pre-Verbal children)
Are you passionate about supporting children and young people?
Are you looking to either start your journey into education employment or looking to build on your current experience?
Are you open to supporting children with additional needs and confident supporting primary and secondary aged school children?
Veritas Education are seeking confident individuals who have a passion for supporting children and young people within their educational settings. Veritas work alongside a variety of different schools in and around the Leeds/West Yorkshire area, who need supportive, enthusiastic, and reliable teaching assistants to help in their schools.
Special Needs schools are a great way to start your journey into education and to build on your current school experience, as you develop new skills when it comes to supporting additional needs, behaviour, and lesson content.
Key skills required:
*Passion for wanting to support and help children/young people
*Confident supporting children in different classes and age groups
*Enthusiastic, hard-working, energetic, and reliable
*Able to build meaningful relationships with both learners and staff
