An opportunity has become available for the position of Team Manager (Reinstatement), based in Edinburgh.
We deliver safety, warmth, and comfort to homes and businesses across the community. Whether you’re supporting from the office or working on the front line, every role plays a part.
How you’ll support us on our mission to keep people safe and warm…
*You will be required to carry out effective management of the reinstatement activity
*Work with contractors to ensure they carry out works to a high standard
*Ensuring performance levels are maintained at the highest levels and meet operational targets, and that SGNs’ interests are maintained at all times.
*Represent SGN at planning and coordination meetings with Road Authorities, including negotiating defect corrections.
*Committed to working to the highest safety, health and environmental standards whilst continuing to provide customers with the highest levels of service.
*Carry out quality audits to ensure a high level of safety is being followed at all times
*Approving contractor’s applications for payment
What you’ll need
*We’re looking for a blend of skills and attributes that make you a great fit for this role. If you don’t tick every box, don’t worry - we provide tailored learning and development programs to help you grow and succeed with us.
*The successful person should have a thorough understanding of Reinstatement Standards and Specifications. Additionally, a thorough understanding of NRSWA and TMA Legislation is required.
*You will have the appropriate technical experience and qualifications. A reasonable knowledge of the utility industry is required.
*You will have good team leadership, organisational, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills, and be an effective communicator at all levels, within and beyond your own team.
*A passion for managing change is important together with the ability to influence those around you to strive for excellence.
*This position involves regular travel, and therefore you will have a full valid driving licence.
