Accounts Assistant
Company based in Leicester
Salary – £25,000 to £35,000

This role will suit an ambitious Accounts Assistant who has gained some commercial experience and are looking for an opportunity to grow and develop their skills to take themselves to a higher level.
What our client needs from you as an Accounts Assistant
*Analytical skills. You must be able to analyse financial data and identify trends and/or discrepancies
*Attention to detail. You will be passionate about details and take great pride in the accuracy of your work.
*Organisational skills. You must be able to demonstrate that you are capable of managing multiple tasks and be able to effectively prioritise your work to ensure that deadlines are met.
*Problem solving. You will be expected to be able to resolve financial issues and discrepancies.
*Effective and clear communication. You will be required to communicate effectively, clearly and concisely with team members, managers and external stakeholders at all times.
*An ethical and values driven approach. You must be committed to upholding and maintaining the companies values and ethical standards.
What the roles involves
*Financial management and reporting. Ensuring the accurate and timely management of a variety of essential activities such as – payroll, pension scheme administration, indemnity payments, PMI, company car schemes, managing direct debits, insurance renewals and cash flow.
*Invoice and revenue generation. Generating reports and invoices, requesting income data, calculating invoices for services provided by outsourced advisors and support services producing an accurate and up to date monthly aged debtor review.
*Cash flow management and forecasting. Preparing monthly cash flow statements and monitoring cash flows to ensure adequate liquidity is maintained for operational needs.
*Regulatory compliance and reporting. Ensuring that the company meets all its statutory obligations and complies with all legal requirements.
*Audit support. Providing assistance and support to the Group Financial Controller in gathering supporting documents for audit requests.
Salary/hours: Up to £35,000 per year dependant on experience. Working 37.5 hours per week.
