Stantec have been successful on a number of framework bids for AMP 8 and we are excited about the opportunities to continue driving innovation in the industry. Major appointments such as Yorkshire Water’s Strategic Planning Partnership, United Utilities Design Development Partnership and Northumbrian Water’s Strategic Technical Partnership will provide a range of exciting challenges for our teams throughout 2025 and beyond.
As we continue delivering expert solutions to our clients, we are now seeking a Senior Process Engineer with a background in clean water process engineering to join the team.
Based from our Leeds office, you will join a multidisciplinary team, with an active social calendar and based only a short walk to Leeds train station. As a contributing member of our team of global experts, you will use your knowledge and experience to deliver innovative, sustainable, and efficient engineering solutions for our clients and the communities around us.
This will include optimising existing treatment works, developing solutions for emerging concerns such as PFAS, and addressing specific regulatory drivers including nitrate, taste and odour issues through catchment and or treatment interventions.
The role requirements are to:
*Provide technical expertise and direction to multi-disciplinary project teams during the problem definition and optioneering phases of design projects;
*Identify low TOTEX and greenhouse house solutions to client and community needs;
*Lead development of process design deliverables such as root cause analyses, optioneering slide decks and or reports, process models, mass balances and P&IDs;
*Build lasting relationships with our clients, and
*Maintain Stantec’s high quality standards by working within and contributing to our Quality Assurance process.
About you
To be considered for this opportunity you will be degree qualified (or equivalent) in Chemical or Process Engineering (or other relevant subject) with experience within the water industry. You must also be a member of a relevant engineering institution i.e. IChemE, CIWEM.
You will be passionate about water, with problem solving and process auditing skills, and experience designing and optimising water treatment processes. Laboratory test work skills (e.g. jar testing) are preferable but not essential.
This is a chance to join a dynamic team in supporting the delivery of a variety of projects. You will also work closely with our clients on and off site.
