Job Description:
Location: We operate a flexible, hybrid working environment with the candidate required to travel to either our Winchester office twice a week.

The Role
• Leading and setting priorities for teams of engineering specialists delivering design and build engineering service
• Define the technical scope, goals and deliverables and input to the Project Initiation Document
• Plan, identify and define the technical tasks and resources required to deliver the project and produce a comprehensive plan establishing timelines, dependencies and critical paths for technical activities
• Plan, identify and assign the technical team members, both direct and virtual, required to deliver the project, agree allocation of activities and manage delivery of technical items throughout the project lifecycle and manage within the project budget allocated Forecasting future skills and resource requirements across the function in partnership with the Demand and Resource Planning (DRP)
• Establishing process and policy within own area of responsibility with the Business Unit/Division
• Engaging with key stakeholders to define requirements and ensure the solution is designed and planned to meet or exceed business expectations
• Defining the performance criteria and standards for sub-contractors and suppliers and manage delivery against these and provide technical assurance activities throughout the build and implementation phase
• Driving the adoption and application of engineering standards and procedures and provide expert technical guidance to internal and external stakeholders (including provision of resource to support diagnosis and resolution of major faults and Disaster Recovery)
• Forecasting capital and operational costs and delivering engineering services within the defined budgets
• Driving the adoption of technical and preventative maintenance standards for networks and systems within own operational area
• Ensuring safety, health and environment standards and policies are fully and consistently implemented
• Manage customer relationships and interactions across the project, providing regular progress reports and responding to customer feedback
• Track progress against project deliverables and report progress to all stakeholders
• Use defined Arqiva processes to manage changes to project scope, risks, issues and overall project governance
• Deliver an effective project handover to the customer and operational teams, ensuring capability to maintain agreed standards of performance
• Evaluate each project against its scope and objectives and produce a Project Closure Report
Identify 3rd party suppliers and ensure their standards of delivery, product specification and documentation are aligned to project requirements
• Drive innovation, both small and large, into and through the business; deploy and evidence with outcomes, a continuous improvement (CI) mind-set
Bring a commercial perspective to the operation, with a particular focus on cash management, cash preservation and optimising returns on investments made in assets and tools
The Person:
Qualifications:
*Minimum of relevant entry level project management qualification such as APM Project Management Fundamentals or Prince 2 Foundation
Required Expertise:
*Comprehensive knowledge of project management lifecycles, project governance, methodologies/frameworks and processes.
*Experience of risk and issue identification and management with internal teams or 3rd parties.
*Experience of project change control and configuration.
*Extensive experience in Radio Access Network Technical Delivery including all aspects from Customer Change Request, inception of project through design, development, testing, and roll out of releases.
Required Technical / Professional Skillset(s):
*Strong knowledge of technologies involved in Utility data collection, processing and management.
*Radio Access Network (Sensus), Software Product Suite, OSS ( Comarch), Comms Hubs ( EDMI).
