Job Description:
Fixed-Term Contract Job Advert: Payroll Specialist
Reed Accountancy is delighted to support our Coventry-based client with the recruitment of a Payroll Specialist on a fixed-term contract.
Contract Duration: 3 to 5 MONTHS
Main Duties:
Payroll:
*Collate and validate monthly payroll transactions.
*Take ownership of in-house payroll processing through the Sage system.
*Audit payroll outputs and resolve inaccuracies.
*Support the annual pay review process, providing data and administration delivery.
*Ensure HMRC payments reconcile.
*Accurate cost centre allocation.
*Complete Year End tasks: P60s, P11Ds, PSAs, and submissions to HMRC both monthly and annually.
*Support the Finance Department with headcount changes and monthly reports.
*Assist with monthly bonus reconciliation.
HR Administration (10% of time):
*Administer recruitment processes and onboarding.
*Track performance management and improvement systems.
*Handle HR, payroll, compensation, and benefits administration and recordkeeping.
*Maintain employee files and the HR filing system.
*Assist the UK HR Manager with the implementation of services, policies, and programs.
*Maintain a database of employee contact information and periodically audit for accuracy.
*Assist in developing and updating the Human Resources section of the intranet site.
*Process employee status changes and maintain personnel files in compliance with legal requirements.
Reporting Line: This position reports directly to the UK HR Manager. There is potential for hybrid working after a successful probationary period.
Working Hours: Standard 37.5-hour working week, Monday through Friday.
Candidate Profile:
*Extensive knowledge of payroll and HR administration.
*Experience with Sage and Excel is highly advantageous.
*Exceptional knowledge of employment laws and practices, especially around payroll.
*High level of confidentiality and ability to prioritize and meet challenging deadlines.
Location: Easily accessible from Coventry, Leamington, Warwick, Solihull, and surrounding areas.
