Job Description:
Join our dedicated team as an Operations Assistant, where you will play a crucial role in supporting our fundraising efforts and maintaining efficient operational processes. This position is ideal for someone with a strong background in database management and a passion for charity work.
Day-to-day of the role: *Assist in producing and sending out thank you letters for donations.
*Manage records within the CRM (Salesforce), including creating new records and updating existing ones with the latest contact details, email addresses, and website information.
*Dispatch merchandise for purchases made through the online shop or by post.
*Maintain an efficient central filing system for donations.
*Handle the franking of outgoing post and ensure it is ready for collection by Royal Mail.
*Maintain accurate Gift Aid records and manage direct debits, standing orders, and other online donations within the CRM.
*Use monthly bank statements to identify donations and record them in the CRM.
*Provide administrative support for various fundraising activities and cover for other Individual Giving staff as needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications: *Experience in database entry, ideally within a charity setting.
*Excellent data entry skills with a high level of integrity and honesty.
*Experience working with CRM databases, preferably Salesforce.
*Superior attention to detail.
*Ability to work flexibly and independently to meet job demands.
*Strong commitment to teamwork and building effective relationships across the organisation.
Desirable Skills: *Commitment to high-quality service and best practices.
*Proficient in using IT software like Microsoft Office Suite and CRM databases.
*Experience in gift processing or administrative roles within a charity.
*Knowledge of the wider UK charity sector.
