Rapidly Growing Software Organisation | Accounts Director
(Permanent/Manchester)
A fast-growing software company in Manchester, recognised as a trusted provider of e-trading solutions for the construction industry, is dedicated to driving innovation and continuously improving its offerings.
With a strong emphasis on exceptional customer support, the company delivers reliable and tailored services to meet the unique needs of the construction sector.
About the Role:
As Accounts Director, you will work across various industries, driving new business opportunities while managing relationships with high value and high growth potential clients. Your primary objective will be to expand the client base at scale while boosting revenue through upselling the company’s software portfolio.
The ideal candidate will be a motivated, proactive, and high performing sales professional with a proven history of exceeding targets, preferably with experience in SaaS sales.
Key Responsibilities:
* Identify and close new business opportunities with large scale organisations.
* Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing deals.
* Qualify leads, tailor proposals, and deliver targeted software demos.
* Build relationships with clients, including C-Suite, to drive growth.
* Collaborate with marketing on strategic sales campaigns.
* Conduct account reviews, resolve escalations, and ensure client satisfaction.
* Maintain a strong sales pipeline and accurate CRM records.
* Negotiate renewals and mitigate client attrition risks.
* Deliver weekly sales forecasts and identify growth opportunities
Must Haves:
* High Calibre Sales individual ideally with SaaS Sales experience within a B2B environment.
* Knowledge of Finance and Sales Order Processing systems is an advantage but not essential.
* Talented individuals who can demonstrate experience of building relationships and sell at C-Suite level.
* Able to evidence consistent performance against sales and customer satisfaction targets.
* Experience of strategic account planning account reviews and contract management.
* Experience of creating the vision of the business value we deliver to key stakeholders using tools such as Return on Investment modelling.
* Time to Value analysis and Total Cost of Ownership models.
* Strong Discovery/ Account Planning opportunity creation and closing skills including objection handling skills. Must be an excellent communicator through various mediums.
