About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to join our dynamic team within the heavy industry arm of the business. This exciting role offers an opportunity to play a key part in developing and executing our sourcing strategy, optimising supplier productivity, and delivering both hard and soft savings.
As a Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for managing and nurturing strategic supplier relationships, ensuring the timely and cost-effective delivery of high-quality goods and services that meet our business needs. You will leverage your market knowledge to identify opportunities for innovation, cost-saving initiatives, and product development within the supplier market.
This position also provides you with a chance to collaborate with global procurement teams, sharing best practices and leveraging the buying power of being part of the Linde group. In addition, this role offers a clear development pathway to progress into the position of Head of Strategic Sourcing.
Key Responsibilities
*Lead and execute commodity strategies aligned with the overall business objectives and sourcing strategy.
*Manage supplier relationships and ensure contract compliance through regular audits and reviews to maximise value.
*Drive year-on-year supplier savings initiatives, capturing all supplier-facing savings and reporting them accordingly.
*Engage and collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify product and service needs, and drive new processes, innovation, and product development.
*Stay updated on industry trends, market pricing, and emerging technologies, identifying new supplier opportunities and cost-saving measures.
*Facilitate the entire procurement lifecycle, ensuring compliance with contractual terms, regulations, and company policies.
*Use strong stakeholder management skills to act as the point of escalation for supplier queries.
*Travel to sites as needed to demonstrate leadership, collaborate with teams, and build strong relationships with employees and suppliers.

*Global and EMEA Procurement teams
*CoC/CoE, buyers, and senior executives of suppliers
Person Specification (Knowledge, Skills, and Experience)
*Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a senior procurement management role within a large national or global organisation.
*Educated to degree level (MSc/MBA) or equivalent, or CIPS qualification is desirable.
*Proven experience applying strategic sourcing and procurement skills in complex environments.
*Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong internal and external relationships.
*Strong commercial and business acumen, with a deep understanding of the industry and products.
*Proven project management skills and the ability to influence change and drive continuous improvement across functions.
*Comfortable working in a fast-paced and evolving organisation.
*Knowledge of contract management, including drafting and reviewing contracts.
*Integrity and the ability to work inclusively and drive a positive, collaborative culture.
