Job Description:
On the hunt for a role to start in January? This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong 2nd line background and leadership ability.
2nd line engineer - Swindon - £31,000 - £37,000
Responsibilities:
*Assess, troubleshoot and support server and end user computing issues.
*Assist in the developing processes and methods of IT operation.
*Onsite IT support on various company sites.
*Log system issues and track performance of IT services.
*Maintain a level of technical competence and highlight any training needs to IT Manager, whilst assisting in training other members of staff.
What you’ll need:
*Strong knowledge of Windows Servers, Microsoft 365, Active Directory and VMWare.
*Hands-on demonstrable experience with server infrastructure and networking; LAN, vLAN, WAN, VPN’s etc.
*Microsoft Intune & Defender
Other requirements -
*Driving licence and own transport - essential
*Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly and plainly explain complex situations.
*High attention to detail and organisational skills.
