Job Description:
Cedar is currently partnering with a Private Equity-backed manufacturing business to recruit a Senior Accountant for an initial 3-month contract paying a day rate of £350-400.

The Role
As Senior Accountant, you will manage all UK finance operations, ensuring deadlines are met with precision and efficiency. Reporting to the Global Financial Controller, your responsibilities will include:
*Leading all UK finance functions, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Banking, Inventory (in collaboration with FP&A), and Payroll.
*Ensuring accurate and timely P&L and Balance Sheet reporting for the UK entity.
*Managing the month-end and year-end close processes, including UK audit fieldwork.
*Overseeing all monthly financial transactions, ensuring accuracy in journals, accruals, and prepayments.
*Completing balance sheet reconciliations and delivering management accounts with commentary to senior stakeholders.
*Ensuring compliance with VAT and other regulatory submissions while managing cash flow and weekly 13-week forecasts.
*Collaborating on budgets and re-forecasts while identifying opportunities for process improvements to support business growth.
Your Profile
The ideal candidate will possess:
*A formal accountancy qualification (e.g., ACA/CIMA/CA).
*A proactive approach to improving financial processes and ensuring compliance.
*Experience working with a manufacturing business would be useful, but not necessary.
